UPDATE: the BG Jetta has now dropped to 21k! Seriously considering this one now.

UPDATE: The silver Jettta at IMA is still available as of this morning. It is the TFSI and only a mark on the roof the size of a dime is the only damage. NOW the bad news, on the book the last service was at Denlos?? at Parra, except.... this was done at 57k it is now at 87k..... Not the ideal info I was after. Also I can't put a deposit down which could potentially mean a somwhat pointless trip.

Thinking I might give the IMA one a miss

Denlos parramatta are pretty good you should call them up and quote the rego number and they can tell you the service history. My GTI hadnt been stamped at its 90,000kms so i called up the dealer and they said it came in to get serviced but they forgot to stamp the book so yeah it could be that reason, if not then its 5,000kms over its service which is a little worrying.

I'll give them a call when I'm on my lunch break. 5000km's over? I thought Jettas and golfs where at 15k intervals? thus being 15k overdue

whoops your right, too early monday morning for maths. Yeah that really looks like the book wasnt stamped. Its pretty hard to go an extra 15k with out a service, the service warning light is enough to annoy anyone & the engine would probably run out of oil lol..

Damn monday-itis! Hopefully that is the case, but since I can't put a deposit down, not sure if it'll still be worthwhile chasing. I'm sure it'll be gone by the weekend.

Update: Denlo's only has the history of a service done at 57k so the books were not forgotten to be stamped. Think it's safe to put this down as a miss.

That means this car was last serviced 30000 kilometers ago...

                Go for the BG one.........

                    My opinion:

If you're going to mod it, go the Jetta. How many GTI's do you see on the road with practically exactly the same modifications?

My next car will be a Jetta 2.0T, and I plan on making it awesome.

Definitely leaning that way atm Maca! Really tempted by that BG one but I'd really like to sell my current car first. I'm also actually contemplating a 9N3 GTI.

Just need to change the factory 17" Classix ... what was VW thinking.

That era Jetta got launch control, whilst the GTI didn't, I think?

There is NOTHING wrong with the classix alloys, but the Charlstones do suit it better.

Dion, your GB TSI Jetta looks HOT.

                              Seconded!
I like the colourcoded rear valance. Did you use filler, then sand it back, then prime/paint, to get that result?

Charlstons really suit the car and colour. Is yours at the standard TFSI ride height?

Yeah the Classix are okay, but the Charlstones make it look a little less innocuous.

The rear valance is like that from VW, all TFSIs had it colour coded I think. The ride height is standard (again, the TFSI gets the slightly lower height ex-factory; I think you also get the lower height on non-TFSI if you ordered the Charlstons).
