Tony took me in a drive in his k04 converted GTI which got the highest dyno reading in the dyno day and all i can say is that a tiguan nomatter how done up will get as close as that. Yeah he had wheelspin but not much at all which i was very surprised because i have more on mine and i have less mods.

Yeah there's a bit of a trick to driving them but they're not too bad once you get going.Originally posted by paolob View PostTony took me in a drive in his k04 converted GTI which got the highest dyno reading in the dyno day and all i can say is that a tiguan nomatter how done up will get as close as that. The real challenge of a FWD isn't so much in the launching, but cornering under serious power. Bloody things are a bit of a handful on tight circuits.
The main issue I've found, when you're going really really hard at it - is the damned ESP. Does all sorts of things to try and save you from killing yourself.
I spent ages getting the suspension in my car set up so it would oversteer before it understeered, but that ESP comes in real fast and ruins the party when the back starts to step out.Last edited by kryten2001; 11-03-2010, 02:45 PM.

Well yes we are talking about Australia here ... what about in the UK where the Golf R is actually a few K more than the S3 and they are around $60K Aus over there.Originally posted by den525 View Postwell s3 is like 80k and golf r is 65k... can't really be compared really. for the extra money = awd or they could of spent the money on more power.
