    Hi,

Hope I'm posting in the right spot.

Got a 2002 Bora V6 4Motion and want to put some new shoes on it.

I'm thinking of a set of BBS CK in 18x8 with an ET of 35. Just want to confirm that they'll fit without problems.

With the right tyres rolling circumference change will be negligible, which I think should leave my lowering options open.

Am I on the right track?

    Thanks
    Craig

Yep, exactly what I started thread for.
      Sounds pretty good Craig.

If I recall from your first post you were looking at doing lowering springs?
18x8et35 will work fine at stock height and a bit of a drop.
225/40 is your best bet for tyres.
can also look at 235/40s. these are a bit bigger then OEM rolling diameter, but can be had a bit cheaper some times due to being common on falcons and commodores.

I'm sure there should be some 8et35 wheels listed in the opening page if you want to have some idea oh how they will sit.

        Thanks Dylan,

Yep, looking at some springs from an S3, which I'm told should do the job. Not sure how much lower it'll drop it, but I can always swap it back.

I cant remember if the S3 springs are lower, or if its only the R32 ones.
          Keen to see results though

opinions on running Corvette C5 rims ?? With the front being a 17 inch and rear 18 ?? Just wondering whether diameter would be a problem, also differing weight of wheels?

            Spec would look something like:
            17 x 8.5 205/45 Front
            18x9.5 225/40

              Yes to corvette wheels
Doing double staggered is all about the tyre sizes. Its a tricky combo of what works, and what looks right.
Check out bflats polo on the modenas for inspiration, wheel and tyre sizes not applicable for mk4, but shows it can be done

I liked it! This thread is all about what does and doesn't work on a mkiv, doesn't have to be 'fitted' or 'slammed'. The more combinations and variations we can save the better.

                        Stud Pattern or offset?
Stud pattern is 5x130, offset could be anything from 15 to 60, depends on the wheels and what car they came off
