The craftsmanship looks amazing i reckon. i think the reason it doesnt look quite right is because the lower part of the arch where it meets the front bar is too close to a 45 deg angle. it needs to be more gradual down low. This would mean totally redesigning the front bar though.'02 GTI (clicky) - REFLEX SILVER - VIEZU race tune. yeah its not doing it for me... if the car made 1000Front wheel hourse power and you needed to get some wide rubber on teh front for grip id get it... just looks to 'forced' or something imho.
looks very well done though. even the valance looks like comes around the bend!!!???
maybe get that bottom point cut back in a little or make the whole front bumper wider to make it look a little more relaxed and natural?

sorry bro doesn't do a whole lot for me either, kind of kills the subtle lines of the Bora. But each to their own
You could pull it off if you had a 1000hp and had to run 11's all around to make sure you had some resemblance of traction.VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life

Ha ha don't be sorry at all, All i asked for was the arches extended slightly so the police don't have a whine over anything. I don't like them either as said it ruins the lines of it. Now the question is how do you fix the problem? I think if it kept the original angle and tapers back at the bottom to where the original bumper was should be ok. As i said love 90% of it with the smoothed doors and blacked b pillars and boser but not the front arches there. He wasnt having such a good day so i decided to leave it then specially so i could have my car over the christmas break. He wants it back to fix up some stuff so ill let him know that im not too stoked over that. Looked good with the bumper off though.

Yep same as comments in the 'what have you done to your mk4' thread;
Front arches will look better if tapered off at the bottom I think. Otherwise it looks like you need a big spoiler on the back and some more aero fins on the front and back bumpers to prep the car for a DTM race hehe
Work looks like it has been done well though - good quality finish etc!'03 BMP MkIV Golf GTI | Oettinger tune | K04 | 18" OZ

So, had a mate come round to try and tackle the timing chain only to realize i didnt have enough parts so we decided to tackle the suspension project instead. Very long day in the heat which wasn't nice and only managed to get one corner done, Mind you it was the hard corner. This included taking the old strut out, taking the control arm out and replacing bushings, new sway bar link, steering links and some other bushings and installing the new KW V2 suspension which is a pain as i can't do the strut top nut up due to it not being an Allan key in the middle due to the adjustablility factor. Anyway pictures as much of today is the same
Strut out with spreader in (I.e screwdriver)
Lots of different parts
New and old sway bar link
Control arm out
Everything removed
Old steering arm link:
All new bushings in place.
New coil over in place:
Shady stuff in place

Did much the same on it yesterday but ran into a few problems. First being the shock that didn't want to come out followed by the control arm bolt that couldn't come out due to the oil pan then the measured tie rod end that has stuffed the alignmentand last but not least folding the thread on the 10.9 bolt on the rear that connects the sway bar, shock and hub together. So cars staying on jack stands for another 2 weeks whilst im away and not getting fixed like i would have hoped.

So, Not much progress as of late. Been away due to work so mainly getting the body work completed. Incoming is a big brake kit and a slight upgrade on the rear that should have been done long ago as my brakes are getting quite worn. Turbo planning in the process but not sure when its going to take off due to budget blow out.
Thinking about getting some new headlights thought but unsure between these two.
