Today just did a bit of degreasing and cleaning up and changed the dogbone mount
    Old and new

    New in place

Also think i found out what is causing the knocking noise

Hoping the changing the oxygen sensors will let me rev up to 6.2k again and hopefully fix the cruise control all-though i have a brake switch to replace to try and fix that.

Its always a good morning when you wake up to this package outside your door (didn't get brought in as it was "too heavy")

Good suspension always comes with its own tool kit

So after checking the codes again today turns out that the oxygen sensor problems fixed at least but it is still having problem with the speed sensor which has been changed so many times. Ugh back to joe. Cruise control still aint fixed. Changed the brake switch over today and that didn't fix it. Also got a new grinding sound in the engine bay which should be fun

Another eh day on the car. Went to fit the new shoes onto the car only to put it down and realize that it hadn't been filled with nitrogen
At least it was the first wheel to go on so wasn't much time lost.
        Some pictures for comparison

Also have done alot more work on the sub box over the last week which should be finished this week.

Sure are , Love to rep em at the next meet but looking ever more like they wont make it.
So turns out they did fill the tyre, which means that its leaking. Guy came back with the wheel only and not the rim and says its leaking in 3 different spots on the bead and then shows me the damage to the bead with a nice chunk out. So long story short i need a replacement wheel, which they don't sell in australia. Leaves me with the option of buying two new front tires at $1000 for the ones i really want $500 for some mediocore ones or what im most likely going to do which is buy one replacement from Tyre rack. Hopefully i can get it here this week and have the new shoes on for the weekend (fingers crossed).

And finished up the smelly stick and crappy stage of the sub box all fiberglass up now and as strong as anything. Just carpet and wiring to go.

Tyre, wheels fine (thank god). Yeah its got some cracks and a chunk missing out of the tyre down to the belt which apparently can't be fixed.

Cheers mate, Pain in the ass but it looks like its going to be well worth it, specially as i was quoted $1.2k for the same job. Was meant to be a bit smaller in size as its mainly for quality but eh what the hey. If you can't tell from the pics the sub goes in the right and the amps in the square there just showing the top.

                        • I know it's a bit ghetto, but have you thought about putting a tube in your tyre till the replacement arrives??

No, But thats a good idea. How bad are tubes compared to the tubeless? That saves me having to worry about trying to get the tyre here this week specially with the public holiday.

                            • They don't balance as easily, and depending on the damage to the bead, you may need to drive a little easier on that wheel, but other than that they should be fine...
