Heh, Cheers all. I know its my fault and all that but it still sucks. I think i'm going to have to do the 12month good behavior thing.

Yeah made it a bit more responsive and my mate also noticed the top end had a bit more, unfortunatly my car's rev limiter has changed down to 5.2 at the moment so trying to get that fixed to get the full length of the engine.

I couldn't believe the difference it made. It makes it so much nicer. I guess they don't due to the like older people who would complain that its too stiff and short.

Yeah unfortunately, 5 seconds of fun with big consequences. At least the undercover guy admitted to me that it was just a short burst. He was also very nice because somehow my payment for the rego didn't go through so my car was unregistered for the last two weeks. Weird thing was that all the details were put into the thing online.

Yeah i know how low down that thing is and have heard a story of one of the guys with a r32 hydro locking his during that weird storm last year. Think i'm going to avoid any puddles i can.

I have a EVO motorsports CAI fitted and its almost identical to yours,, its been on for over a year and never had any dramas with puddles, then again I dont drive a boat, so I dont aim for them either!

Drive sensibly in the wet and you'll be right, pardon the irony in that comment

Yeah i said that was my fault, more the fact it was only for a few seconds. Also other instances such as when i was on my L's i went around a corner and one of the bolts on the top of the suspension (different car) sheared and rode the car off. Then theres the wheel that fell off the kombi. The car that rolled on gravel after slowing down to 50km/h on this corner as it hit a loose patch of gravel. Theres more **** as well but i wont go into it just **** like bottom of the battery clamp braking on good Friday so i had no chance of fixing it on the weekend properly.

Check your local track, many will have general practice days where you can drive your street cars hard for a small fee

Its also more than an hour away, Requires a helmet and the money to go with all of that. If you haven't read all ready it was only for a few seconds. Its not like you all haven't done something stupid on the road or sped.

No mate, I have done many stupid things in cars although I am a little older, wiser and poorer for it. I wasnt having a go at all as I have read the whole thread, **** last weekend I opened the Bora up on a quiet country road to see how she handled at speed but I am going to hit the track myself so I can enjoy going fast around corners and not just straights where the cops cant nab me.

Now enough thread hijackery, back to what your doing to your car next

depends what you want to do, the midvale speed dome days that I do only need a helmet (much cheaper than a speeding fine), and not that expensive.

Get to do this and more:

AHG, near the international airport do advanced driver training days which is good fun and a decent track, no helmet required
