You able to provide a weight estimate (perhaps hold it when standing on bathroom scales)?

Curious if I should bother removing mine when I eventually get the car to the drags (I have the TST rear brace to keep the rear of the car stiff).
      Nothing to see here...

I used bathroom scales. With me holding, etc..

The large seat back (the one that the middle seat belt is connected to) (roughly 16kg)

The small seat back (roughly 6kg)

So when you combine that with the two rear seat bottoms plus the 3 head rests, its a fair saving.

I run a unibrace, so the rear is nice and firm.

I'm comtemplating removing the front passenger seat aswell. Just for fun!

Hopefully my 17inch track wheels arrive before the track day too!

          • Don't forget to offset those door speaker spacers a bit to actually match the door trim grills - they dont line up directly on the stock speakers if you look (in case you haven't noticed not doing a Mk IV before).
PM if you are looking for: R32 rear sway bar; R32 suspension springs; Euro Headlight switches

Thank you for the info. I have not noticed that it done that. Do you happen to remember what way they need to be offset ?. Ill have to hold the door trim over it tomorrow and have a look.

              • The centre of the door trim is lower down than the centre of the actual speaker cone...maybe about 2 - 3 cm.

Would maybe only be an issue if you are putting larger cone replacement speakers in.
