I'm betting you got that driver-side door fixed too
Eventually we did after Robin came in for a drink and got locked out again.. I now look like I have a self harming problem with all the scratches on my arms.
Hey thread I seem to have an issue with my back door not opening when using the remote control. It is physically jammed, Volkswagon quoted me $520 to fix. Surely this is all labour. How much are the door opening motors for Volk Polo 2004? Cheers
hey thats a mad video love the auto lift when he unlocks it.
Also i got a question???i took my bora v6 to check an exhaust leak, they found a leak on a flexible section that comes just after the manifold the guy told me he ring me tomorow with a price to repair it.
So im wondering you veedub gurus out there what would be a fair price yas recon.just so im better prepared.
any info greatly appreciated
Noob here to the mk4 golf scene. Looking at getting into a GTi next month as i'm going to get away from Subaru's. They seem like pretty solid little cars and good bang for buck (as long as they have been looked after previously). Would i be wasting my time with one trying to extract power from the 1.8t motor? Obviously its not the same as exhaust+tune on a subaru and you can get 30% more power and a sub 6 second 0-100 time, but is it possible to dip into low 6s with a GTi with just an intake+tune?
You can get the best part of 50hp with a flash, I don't reckon that's a waste of time. Whether you can do sub 6 seconds sprints with one is questionable.
They are front wheel drive which isn't going to help and the gear change isn't that quick in my opinion. Certainly not like when you have the lever going straight into the box.

Jacked it up, degreased and gurnied/brushed most of the back end under carriage. Going to do a little polising later on this week. Then do the front. Also moved my exhaust tips out a bit. =]

It's those times when I wish I had a hoist to get it in the air to be able to give it a full clean underneath.
Remap, exhaust, intake dogbone mount and sticky tyres should see you in the 6's yeh? You can change gear quite quick.
Also thinking of going to get a k03sport turbo from ecs. Is it worth it? Would I absolutely need to change anything else? Injectors or maf? Would I need a remap or could I get away with the stage 1 map I already have??
Cheers.
