honestly not a huge fan of the ultraleggera... But they're super light!
Proabably going to order myself a set of superturismo's, but the white's only come in 17"
at least race rubber is cheaper in 17.

Yeah, the Ultras were lighter and cheaper than the BBS options I was looking at. It made the choice easy for me.

hmmm, this may not be so good. The alloy used in the SS is nice and looks awesome, but when the shifter arm is tightened around the linkage cable it does tend to embed the thread shape into the walls of the alloy. This means it is damn hard to get off (ask the guy you got it fromo if it was hard to pull off the cables, not off the selector shaft) and it may also mean that it will not only be hard to put on, but also quite hard to adjust.

An easy test is to just look down the "barrel" of each shifter piece and see if it is scored inside.

I had my one originally on my TDI for about 25K kms, and then moved it to my Bora.

Prepped, sanded, primed, painted and cleared my wing mirrors.

Got them as standard Bora-issue silver, rubbed them back with 800grit wetsand paper, wax&grease remover, 3 coats primer, 800 paper, wax&grease remover, 4 coats LC9Z Black Magic Pearl, then cleared after a 25minute cure in the sun. 5 coats clear.

I didn't take photos during, sorry, was too focussed on the work. Not a bad result in the end, i had one paint run and one clear run. I am not sure about fixing the paint run, but the clear run was on my 2nd last coat and it seems i can run it back with 1200 wetsand and re-clear.

I will get a sunlit photo tomorrow. Pity the wing mirrors now look better than the car

Dont think it can record.
If you want this your probably better off paying for vag-com or a Vi unit (which I came close to buying)

Happy days! After having no interior accent lights for months and checking every single fuse several times and having no luck, the accent lights now work as of tonight! Put 700kms on Blur yesterday....but all for good cause!! Have parked myself in Warrnambool for the week. Will be taking it for a spanking through the Grampians and GOR over the next few days. Wet weather alert noted but will surely be lots of fun!
