Tore the "sound deadener" (large piece of plastic under the engine/gearbox) clean in half on a huge bump on the M5 (just coming out of the tunnel, heading away from the airport)...

It's not repairable - it's literally torn in two front-to-back. There's actually a few different parts to it, I'm going to get them all out, and then see what I need to do to replace them.

An OEM euro skid-plate may be on the cards, it's $300+ for the stock replacement parts new from VW apparently (will confirm that on Monday).

And also dynamatted the front doors end of last week. Worthwhile! deeper, more accurate louder mid bass. and doors shut with a more solid feel

he's only done the doors mind you, so not much. very lucky with the vw doors to be able to remove all of the obstructions. i did the doors on my WRX when i had her and i had to cut 1inch thick strips and lay them in slowly in between arm contortions to fit past all the welded struts in the doors. not fun, lots of scratches on the arms. Thank god i was wearing gloves to protect my handsies.
