  • Installed the rear Weitecs and all seems good. Definitely an upgrade, but i now fear i have missed a chance to upgrade the sways and sway bushes/links. There is still a knock from the rear somewhere.

        • The rear one is 19 mm instead of 16mm.

I have a front one coming too which is 23mm instead of 21mm

          • How would these compare against the H&R ones ?
Much of a much ness, you just running it for Euro Spec reasons ?

            • I believe the H & R 's are 25mm and 21 mm, so appreciably stiffer.

The VW ones are about $200 ea.

                Graeme is the OEM king.
                Cheers,

                • Think he needs the title under his name changed from "Volkswagen Fan" to "OEM King"

Nice work on your website Graeme. Very helpful. Great work.

The Euro swaybars then would fit nicely between the stock standard we got and the H&R set up. Nice.

Mate you get then locally at VW or overseas ?

                    • I just bought them from local VW dealer. By the time you add shipping from TM Tuning in Germany it works out about the same price.

I would point out that the Euro rear springs are a lot softer than the Aussie rear spings, so they ran a larger bar on the rear. Not sure how the 19mm bar would go with the harder rear springs.

                      • The Euro suspension set up is a little lower than ours is that correct.
Does it give a improved handling over what we have and is it worth running compared with maybe some H&R Springs and Koni yellows ?
Sorry, just trying to get a feel for it all for when I update mine.

                        Thanks mate, Matt.
