My bora when i drive it gently returns around 12.5L/100, 13.5 normally with me giving it a good few squirts here and there and i dont think i've seen worse than 15.5 - 16 when giving it stick in the hills...

Haha yeh I drive my cars hard. The fuel consumption gauge goes up to about 50L/100 if you ring its neck.
I think I better try and slow down a bit as $85 for 300kms certainly isnt cheap hehe

      • wow! My Bora V5 gets me around 9L/100km, although most of my driving is highway, it rarely goes above 10L/100km. I can get it down as low as 7.9L/100km. The highest I've averaged so far through the hills is somewhere around 15L/100km from memory.

The tank in mine is actually 55L, is the V6 the same?

        • we should start a thread somewhere noting all the fuel econemys of different models, if there isnt one already.
          i get 6-7L/100km Highway driving
Can get better with stock wheels as my BBS have low profile tyres and they make the engine rev more at higher speeds...

            • I remember getting 6.8ltrs over 500km on a country trip when i first got the car...
Used to average 10.8 around town (to/from work)..
              Added stereo gear, averaged ~12...
Changed to 18" mags (heavier), now averaging around ~12.8-13ltrs/100km...

Does use a bit more when i get an itch in my right leg though.

                • I cleaned my MAF on the weekend and switched back to the stock air filter (I'm switching from K&N to a BMC un-oiled filter soon), and i've averaged 7.5L/100kms on my current tank between Maitland and Newcastle.

Currently i'm back on my stock rims too while i clean up my TT rims and repaint them a very (un)original metallic gun metal grey. I'm wondering what the stock Montreal II's would be like in that colour or a black too....

                          • Installed Gps sensor, Mic, Ipod cable, Usb Cable etc for my avic-f20bt this weekend, just waiting on the fasica plate from europe to actually install the head unit. Now going to crack the door open to find out why my drivers side door light isnt working. The sensors acting up i think, not the light

Don't forget to connect it all up and test all the components before you mount it in place. Always liked the AVIC's.

Yeah have done at the moment. I don't think the handbrake is done the right way around for the handbrake cable aswell haha. Not that thats a concern.

Anyone have any idea why the door sensor wouldnt work on the drivers side. Took the door trim off but couldn't see anything. Pain in the ass aswell.
