Yea i havent thought that far yet but i want it to be hidden somewhere.
lol fair enough. I was thinking of reinstalling it in a similar place using a grinding stone and a rotary tool to make it fit nice. but there is always that worry of cracking the new console, tough choice. Post once it's in and add in where you ended up putting fuel release
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
Depending on how long it takes me to start it ill be contacting you kenbot
No worries for other stuff, but I won't be much help on the engine, as I didn't do my 1.8T engine swap/GTI Conversion. It was done by Matt and Co at Camden GTI, with both cars side by side.
Stan did his own, and had help over the phone from Matt with the tricky bits I believe..

Ohhhh ok no worries. Will be getting a full rebuild first which may take a couple of months to do as ive read its quite abit of $$$ want something to suprise the japs
yes i did my own install of the engine.
It went in with the gearbox and axles all on the k frame and installed as a single unit.
Matt was a great help. Gav and Jmac are wiring gurus. Happy to help in any way I can

Ok cool! Ill be rebuilding the engine and doing all new bushes, axels and cvs too so i may have to put it back together once i put it into mine.
On a seperate note i finally got around to putting on my sticker i got made from the UK tell me what you guys think
I wouldn't pull the engine apart un-necessarily. I'd probably do the belt, water pump etc while it's easy to get at. No point creating work and expense. I might get a clutch kit too, again for ease of fitting.

I want to get a little more power though ive read up on some builds with bigger turbos an descent pistons.

Yeah, I did water pump, timing belt kit etc while it was out. Should've done clutch too in hindsight, but had to make a call, and thinking ECS kit wouldn't have been delivered in time... But it would've.

yea im planning on doing all that too, just seen others get 200kw + so im thinking of trying to get around that ball mark.
Don't worry about going too hard (chasing KW), now and again when I give it a crack, I don't get that much traction and I only have an APR stage 1 tune! No cold air intake, no FMIC, stock exhaust.

The engine haa 188kms on the clock so i dont want it dying on me. All i know it has a oettinger tune but dont know how many kms. Would like to get stronger pistons and run a bigger turbo.
