What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

I am currently not having the fans come on at all ....

so today, replaced old fan with a new fan



Problem is, still not turning on at all. So next stop is a new cooling fan relay ....

Whilst I was busy on the car, fitted the new bottom front spoiler I had sitting in the garage for a month or 2 ....

I was tidying up the shed and came across my lamda sensor tool, and thought hey that looks like it could fit the strut top nut. I could not torque it correctly when i replaced the struts recently.
Allen key through the middle, torque wrench at 90 degrees and it worked a charm.
And 44 ft lbs is not a lot.

Thanks mate, all fixed .... forgot to change the fuse (on top of the battery) that blew as a result of the fan motor issue discussed in that thread.

Worse, I ordered the fan controller already .... oh well another spare won't hurt

Had sex in the boot with the seats folded down....The little step up from the boot floor to the seat back can really hurt if any of you have tried this. I highly suggest have a doona or some form of cushioning to prevent angry females (can be a good thing though) or from injuring yourself.
