    • I didn't lose any money but I did put a few hours into splitting and polishing but I'm happy enough with what I got.

Had a lot of interest in the 16x7 16x9 set. Mainly people wanting them for Holdens. One guy thought they'd fit his car so I said he was more than welcome to come test fit them, he showed up in this '77 camaro

They didn't fit (5x120) but damn it was a nice car!

      • Car went to mechanic yesterday for diagnosis and pink slip. Passed pink slip no dramas. Fault was diagnosed as problem coil pack. Hayden was kind enough to drop off a spare last night that I put in today and all is good once again. So have bought a new one online. All I can fault on the old one is a hair thin crack that I mustn't have noticed last time.

Considering selling to get a mk1...

Yep, car has been getting a makeover in preparation. Trying to get it in a presentable state for it's debut since I bought it

                • Pictures of how it looked for GAD. Need to adjust camber and lower it a bit, thought my 205/45 would have stretched more considering they're 16x8's. Something to fine tune for the next event!

Thanks to The_Hawk and Marcotto for the photos

Really?! These had 215/40 when I got them and they had more stretch but the tyres were gone. Probably has a lot to do with brands aswell. I think I'll go with 195/45 next. For now I'll just try make these work...

                      • Nankang ftw. I noticed just about every stretched, lowered etc golf had them.

They do seem to be the favourite for stretch

                          • 8" = 205mm.... hence, no stretch.

also, tyre brand has an impact.

That explains a lot. I guess I'll be putting skinnier tyres on next then.
