I really want the red mk1 16v that's for sale and can't afford to have both. Not desperate or anything just thought I'd throw it up and see what happens. I'm more than happy to keep it.

Bought a vento today.

Spent a while cleaning it out and washing it. There was hay in the ashtray. The interior was filthy, photos don't do it justice. It looked like it hadn't been washed for about 2 years.
Speedo was stuffed but I had a cluster that I've swapped in. Air con doesn't work, rear right window reg broken, rear muffler rusted off so that's in the boot. Rego runs out in 4 days so hopefully have time to get the exhaust and pink slip in the next two days. Central locking doesn't work. Apparently ignition issues causes it to not start everytime, previous owner said it's the immobiliser so that will have to be fixed.
Plans are to get it registered, put some vr seats in, give the engine bay a good clean and service it, coilovers, remove crappy window tint (maybe get it redone) get the door dent pulled or a replacement door, wheels (possibly 5x100 vr swap) and fix majority of the problems.
So the vr is going to have to go...Last edited by anthony--t; 01-10-2012, 08:25 PM.

ThanksOriginally posted by Tom93 View PostNice man looks alright in photos factiry manual?
Yeah I'm surprised at how good the body is considering how dirty it was, most the 'scratches' came out after a good scrub. Got all the log books for servicing so the engines all good. As far as I know it was a factory manual, considering everything else is completely original I'd be surprised if its been swapped.

The height will be coming down, not sure if it'll qualify as 'slammed'.Originally posted by shooitt View PostYay! Another early grill Vento!
Slam it! Slaaaaam it...
I wish mine was manual

It was a bit of a lucky pickup, not a lot of them seem to be manuals.
Thanks man. I'm happy with it. Was surprised how quickly the vr sold. Had hardly even advertised it and had a fair amount of interest.Originally posted by manyu View PostGood pick up man, also congrats on the sale!

behind is the early one,
infront is a general one (dunno what the name is)
then there is one that looks like a bora grille a bit, same as what Cam has on his VR6
thats how it went as far as im aware
