So I got more work done on the car over the weekend as I was in the mood after working my ass on Saturday with my dads new Toledo

We grinded the rest of the engine bay on the Sunday and now she is ready for paint WOAHHHH!

I'm really keen to get my car finished now hopefully won't take too long at the painters but I have all trust in the place where I am taking it to JADE AUTO, I have seen there work and its fantastic

I'm really not understanding the Baboon thing..

Its a bit of a cheap shot which will only ever end in starting more fights. Whilst im not defending anyone I dont think there is a need for name calling on the forum. This stupid tit for tat thing needs to end because its getting pretty tiring and senior forum members should know better.

I see you ended up going the mk4 head gasket route. I hope that turns out well for you especially after you mentioned that you were having pinging problems before the engine come apart.

Yeah cheers Tim I was getting pinging and we couldn't diagnose the problem which was really annoying

This will be the NA motor another motor for a turbo will be built up after this is completed

I'm pushing to have this ready by SEDF definately I have already taken the Thursday, Friday and Monday off, of that weekend

I'm going to be pushing really hard mate, I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment even though its still a long way away!

Had to change two swolen pistons, all new rings and bearings, bottom end is now like velvet.

Mated the head to the block today.

I'd like to agree and say I do the same myself but any of my engine tinkering hasn't been proper modification so I'm still only dreaming heh.

You do feel bloody good after an accomplishment of this sort though, I know that much!
