Late night feels. Have actually missed the car for the first time in years. Can't wait to be smacking 7400rpm limiter.
With the ecu running an internal map sensor i was able to ditch the maf housing. Abd will be getting repainted shortly. Tucked the wiring loom while i was at it.
This is how it looks now.
Been having to tinker with the hoonduh to keep me occupied.
When do you get the car back from Newcastle Dyno Centre? What power do you hope it makes once tuned? And what does it weigh now after all your interior trim removal?
I saw a burgundy Mk3 VR6 at Kotara on Sat - actually i heard it before i saw it . You can't miss that sound.

Going to get this one. Reviews seem to be pretty positive and it's an Australian company. There is ssb batteries that weigh a measly 700g that have the same specs as a standard battery but are $400 odd dollars.

I should get it back on Tuesday, if not Wednesday this week.
I haven't a clue what power it should make, i take dyno numbers with a grain of salt these days anyway. Only went this way as i need more than 6500rpm to finish 1/4mi in 4th instead of a 5th gear change.
Realistically it 'should' pick up 5-8kw (135fwkw) would be happy with that. Any more and i would have a smile on my face!
It made a whopping 2.5kw more than a standard ecu! Surely this could now prove that chips don't do anything..
Guessing just conservative tune, judging by how reserved the dude is. Does go a bit harder in the middle. Spins 1st, 2nd and 3rd when planting it mid gear.
Needs touching up a bit cause the idle fluctuates a bit and when just tapping the throttle to take of it just hesitates and dies.
hm, true, like you said, maybe a conservative tune? did you ask them for an aggressive tune?
Just said make it make power lol.
Plugged a laptop in and the acceleration enrichment isn't even turned on. So that will be the tip in throttle problem. Will tune that on the weekend at the local racetrack/industrial estate.
It also now has a huge exhaust leak from the manifold to downpipe. So that will cause some greif too.
