I've always wanted to give this a go. I reckon if you' have access to the tools, it's a good way to get a couple of extra needies outta the old 12V!

Intake manifold has not been forgottenIve had it at a stage I would have been more then happy to get it welded up at for numerous months now. Although now I have the die grinder im going to port a couple little things a little more. Just havent had the time to go find somewhere that has some 3mm aluminum that will weld it up.
Took the downpipe to get welded up in a lunch break during the week, so will grind those out and finish the second exhaust manifold today hopefullysigpic

If you need anything done with metal hit up Advanced Metal on Mica st Wacol. They are owned and operated by "Rob Tucker Racing" who Shane drives for - Monster Energy Drink® | Unleash The Beast - Tucker Turns Monster In 2011
They built the car and trailer at their respective shops. Shane operates his own metal fab business. I got my checkplate off them for my MK3 splash plate I had made up. Fantastic people and offer many years advice. Look them up or pm me your details and i'll pass them onRising Blue MY10 Passat R36

So today I got a little box full of win
Used a parcel forwarding company in the US called Shipito, where I had parts from 5 different places in the US mailed too (a couple of them wouldnt ship over seas), they then consolidated all of them into one box and shipped it over. Saved over $300 in shipping (there fees are very small for the service too..) and it came in 2 buissness days from the states to our hole of a town in regional queensland! Can't recommend them enough, will definately be using them again.
Anyway... Pics of new parts are always nice...
All new hardware and gaskets for the ported and polished exhaust manifolds and downpipe
shortened steel oil pan made by the infamous (on the vortex atleast) fastmaxcooper
This thing is awesome. A fair bit shorter then the stock pan, and as I'm in australia and so far away, he made it extra tough as sending it back for repairs would be costly. Weighs about twice as much as the standard one, If I were to hit anything it should be a lot better off then the standard ones or an r32 o, not that thats likely with it sitting above the frame though
Genuine r32 oil pump and new drive shaft
BFI Stage 1 engine and transmission mount kit
