does it scan ok with vcds?
Make sure battery terminals are nice and tight if you removed them to reinstall the ECU. Could be an immobiliser problem?

i actually just bought my own vagcom so yes i tried, but it comes up with comms error
iv spoken to lucas from giac, he said its the ecu so il have to take it back to him

well after an exhaustive amount of fault finding and testing and then some more fault finding iv finally got my tb working
my car now runs the way it should be yay
