      • Not much to see at the moment , just a bit more on the rear chassis leg today , made a rear exhaust hanger mount and made a tow hook mount so I can smooth the rear bumper . Click image for larger version

Just doing a few bits for the motor as I take it apart I'm just cleaning and painting so all the bits are ready to assemble once I have the new internals fitted , its getting close to being back on its wheels so I keep interested by doing different things to get past the monotony of bodywork which I hate !

        • Also collected handbrake cables after being lengthened 105mm to allow them to fit better and not have so tight bends . It's a constant battle making the different parts bin components and aftermarket bits all fit together , you think you have it worked out and then you go to fit something and you find it doesn't work so you have to go back to the drawing board !

                  • In the Newbies section there's someone from Brisbane putting the 1.8t motor from his Polo into his newly aquired MK2.

That wouldn't be a black 4 door by any chance Locky?

Might be Paul, although I didn't here any mention about putting in a new engine.

Damn I miss that old girl.

                          • Back to sorting harness and fuse box on lounge floor , taking out all the possible connection issues by soldering and heat shrink instead of connectors , also removing wiring for things I'm not using .
