Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Ah I can't remember sorry mate? Might have been around et35 to start with?
Picked up the last little bits for it today! God damn synthetic gear box oil is expensive!
I wanted more of a matt black for the manifold but it still looks awesome. (excuse the one mega pixel iPhone shot!)
Also chucked a T1r on one of the d90s for a look.
Can't wait to get stuck into it this weekend!

Made a big hole in the Jetta!
Sadly didn't get to fill it with anything today though
Just need to get the old clutch plate relined with the new Sachs clutch plate on Monday and it can all go back in with the ABF!
Worked on the brakes though and have the new 256mm Mk3 ones about to go in.

I hope you washed the engine bay whilst you were there!

Gave it a wee clean but still need to do some tidying up. Amazing how much grime there is from all the years in use!
Some more progress,
Still need to sort a few more bits and give it a tidy up.
Also new 256mm Mk3 brake set up in the front with Brembo discs and Mintex pads! My old rotors and bearings were toast so these will be an awesome improvement!
Getting excited

Nearly ready! Just stated a new job so have been pretty busy lately. Everything is in but having trouble with the immo delete on the ECU. Hopefully have it sorted this week!
Played with a mates old Fiat 124ac in the weekend too. Can't wait for this to be back on the road.
Hopefully the next update will be of me with a massive grin on my face in the Jetta!
