Not saying its not possible....But the Kjet system will be really in struggle street....
Iv'e done as many mods as possible to my Kjet over the last 12 months or so and it struggles to get enough fuel with head mods and cam upgrade....

next step for me is the Ovlov fuel dizzy that im modding
that output shpuld be fairly easy with some aftermarket EFI tho...and a big wallet, lol
    Cheers, Benny

I've got some 5x100 steelies if you are interested. pity im in melbourne.

they are from a subie, so need some minor grinding on the center to fit over the VR6 hub.

i've got some vr6 subframe action going on now.. with some vr6 brake action too... i never realised how little clearance a vr6 caliper had. it's nuts!! we sorted out the loom too. should be good times.

waiting on my laziness - clutch/lights/prep work for body.

edit: oh, i worked out a set of vr6 wheels too. they dont look too bad. now for that carbon fibre bonnet..

Pic as it sits now, put higher shocks in the back and finished the 5 stud conversion. JayJay did the hard yards cleaning and greasing. His new tyres now sit on exceptionally clean VR6 BBS mags.

Can you guys give me a parts list as to what you used to do the 5 stud conversion ?
Any ideas if Golf VR parts would work on my Corrado ?
Its looking good, sounds like an interesting project ......

Theres two ways to do it carpoid, on a golf u can swap the subframe, control arms, swaybar, brakes inorder to use the vr6 steering knuckle. Alternatively ECS sell a 4-5 stud conversion hub which is simplier but u dont get the vr6 widetrack.

yeah. it's really quite easy if you just do a subframe swap from a wrecked vr6. also, the rear stub axles are just a matter of loosening the calipers, a bolt and a bit of grease.

i dont think the increased track would actually make that much difference, but primarily, because the vr6 has 288mm brakes(96-9, it's a lot cheaper than hunting abf cupra hubs, discs, calipers etc.

but you've already got a g60.... that already has 280s...?

if you go widetrack at the front and not the rear they reckon it handles really badly. but i guess you can just run spacers at the rear to make up the difference

You need VR6 control arms, vr6 steering rack or rack ends. Vr6 antirollbar, Vr6 driveshafts, Vr6 hubs and the full hub assy with calipers and disks.

The rear is as eay as swopping the 4 stud disk for a 5 stud one. If you want to incease the rear track you can use spaces, vr6 rear axle, or spacers under the stubaxle.

If the Corrado has a Golf 2 or 3 style subframe and wishbones, you shoul be able to do it with G3 parts. I recon I`d leave the Corrado alone though, already 280mm.

They reckon a VR6 in a Beeza or Mk2 handles badly and understeers on corners. Dont believe everything you read on the net.

I reckon spacers under the stub axles is the way to go. Safer and not detectable by the fuzz.

We used to shim the stub axles to stop the rear tyres scalloping on G3s, yeah and does beat the fuzz!!!

where can i get a set? i was thinking about spacers but i know shims'd be heaps better.. in any case, to go widetrack on the back, would you need to swap over the rear axle?

jay jay my vr6 beeza has 10mm wheels spacers on the rear to compensate the front widetrack and it handles like its on rails

Jay, we`ll make you some. You just get a piec of 10mm steel, drill 4 holes in it and use longer bolts to hold the stub axles on

Cheaper and easier than changing the axle. Williams Beeza handles great and that has the beeza rear axle with the spacer and the widetrack front from the VR6. Same setup as your car will be.
