part 2, tried the paint stripper, 3 coats and this is what it got me. Barely hit the base.
going to get them stripped tomorrow
light wire wheel on the drill got me quite far on the lips, light enough to be able to sand everything out but it also helps with the curb rash a fair bit.
thought i had an after pic but it turns out i dont. pity, ill get one tomorrow
Waiting on a boss to come in the mail and then my momo goes on, still trying to find rails and now im looking for a front right fender aswell, dont want to paint over the girls drawings as i said before. But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks
I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

took the centres to the sandblasters today so will have them ready tomorrow is what he said. Working all day so going to get the trusty mum to pick them up for me. $100 for all 4 isnt too bad a deal i dont think.
going to take the car in for an exhaust build next week when i get paid, 2"system straight through like you guys said would be best. But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."

this is what they will look like, just alot more shiny and nicer.
car made its way into the canberra vw centre because it conked it and wouldnt start, not entirely mad though because it was meant to be in there on thursday anyway. But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."

the seats werent converted for a mk2, turns out the car they were in was converted to use them since the mk4 rails are still there. But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."

getting a mirror finish doesnt exist, its official.
all the way through to 2k grit and its not even close to reflective. mght try a cutting compound through to polish and see if that helps. But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."

Polish will do wonders mate. Sandpaper won't give it shine, just a brushed finish.
