Yep! Not VAG calipers (they're off a VP commodore actually) but they bolt on, and i need new pads and the discs just need machining got hubs with brand new bearings in them to go on as well!

once that's sorted it'll be paint on the inside (another surprise) and get it all back together and wired up for lakeside in oct

    Oh so close!

just the last bit behind the pedals left, then it's scrub time to get all of the glue out! I think it's really bad on the drivers side under the seat because it used to fill up with water there. same as behind the pedals.

    Bit more progress today!

just under 3kg removed so far.. only about halfway through!!

gonna have to re-plate the big holes in the floor pan, guessing they were drain holes when the deadener was laid?? also gonna have to re-weld the seams from floor to sill, the sealant holding it together before has turned to goop over the past 33 years.

hopefully will get that done this weekend and paint next week!!

Today's progress - hopefully will have the floor sorted this weekend, have to do a bit of welding as the floor plan support has been crushed and rusted out from people not knowing how to jack the car up and using the sill

Sound deadener is an absolute %*&#(

I'm actually thinking of putting a dildo gearknob in mine, as the shifter with standard knob seems ridiculously short (not used to working with short shifters and knobs, pun intended).

Dry ice or a heat gun is your friend to remove sound deadner.

Then use carby cleaner to remove all the glue.
