haha at the moment it's just a parts whore, slowly being stripped down to a shell, but it's time will come!!

haha thanks mate, can't wait to get them on an older vw where they belong

had a pretty slow start to today, but still managed to rip the refurbished rear beam from the black car and get it ready to go into the silver car. I've got some plans for the spare one i'll have - so updates on that will come very soon!

but for now the silver car gets the honour of an upgrade to mk3 rear drums, new bearings and new bushes! swapping them over tomorrow will be fun...

I really need to make a thread for the silver car, and I also need to stop spending so much money.. haha the silver golf has been running odd lately, overfuelling, misfiring and what not - so I've replaced the carby and have all these goodies to go on (minus manifold, that's for the black car )

Thanks guys! The 9s on the rear just fit - about 3mm clearance on the inside (coilover) and the guards have been rolled and slightly pulled - no scrub

I can't help myself lately, so good with my money then bam:

    SSR MK2 14x7 +12, 14x8 +-0

pretty much my perfect set of wheels for the black car. will help me get things moving along alot faster!!

loving the 2 tone 4 door! the 9s(?) on the back look amazing even without pulled arches, seem to fit alright or is that just the pictures? how long till the black beast is back up do you think? and be super careful not to scratch the bay when its painted, looks shocking (first hand experience now hahahaha)

I've been busy with both of my golfs lately!

Daily is going strong as ever with the wheels and suspension pinched from the black car for now! Tail lights are giving me headaches though

And got started on getting the motor out of the black car so I can start paint prep and mocking up the engine bay!

Found the only bad bit of rust in the whole car:

    and where she stands now:

Yep, mk3 drums would be good.
What were the discs off of then?

    Thanks again...

Yeah as do I - I'm going to hold off putting MC on until I replace my hard brake lines.. I'm not sure on the discs, I know RDA do OEM replacements which can be vented, slotted, drilled or a combination of the above! They're still the same stock size, just the caliper is bigger

Yeah I bought them off a mate who was running them no dramas on his 4dr doing hill climbs and drags etc. He found gti fronts so I picked these up.

Stock size but vented not solid! Just need a clean up really. Waiting on pads and then I'll put them on with the new booster I have and report back! I've already got mk3 rear drums so I'm hoping my braking will be sorted then.

    Hmmm, very interesting...
Are you using the stock disc?

Definately looking on as to how well they will work...
