Well after a ridiculous amount of time at work and some crappy weather of late i finally got a chance to finish the windows in the golf. Turned out better than i expected really with almost 12kg shaved off. Now to attack the doors with the holesaw and find a punch/flare to do the front apron. If only they were cheap

tucked away to sleep for the night

tomorrow it is time to sort out the nonfunctional starter motor's clutch.

Cheers Shane. Was it's last little run for a month. Got a flat top head and massive cam which starts going on tomorrow. Comp will rise to 11.2:1 and 12.5mm of lift so whilst i'm at it i will rejet and re choke the carbs to make the most of the gains. Not much more i can really do to the 8v so it will force my hand onto finishing the 16v motor

well, after some terrible events in my life (see below) i have suddenly found alot more time to focus on my mk1 and my newly acquired Amarok rally support vehicle. for thos squeamish don't scroll down.

Moron in a busted arse hyundai getz tried to cross 2 lanes of traffic without looking first. Not much you can really do when someone blessed for natural selection pulls out 5m in front of you at 60km/h

Ooh really didn't need to see that , such a timeless piece of motoring perfection killed. Would have been hard not to beat the living daylights out of the driver of the offending **** heap.
Head up , onwards and upwards.

Lets get the 16 V engine into the rally car Luke. As Alex said, onwards and upwards mate.
                          Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                          Cheers,

Insurance cannot replace what you had, I am really sorry as that is one of my favourite motors.

I hope you are ok though.

Was very hard to stay calm in that situation but sometimes you just have too. So Insurance paid me out and now I'm hunting for another Porsche which will not be an easy prospect as I'm a fussy bastard. I'm not too bad besides fracturing my wrist when i broke the wheel with my hand. 16V is a go grant, getting the block acid dipped next week and then it is time for pistons. I seem to be a little flush with cash right now and VW shares may go up a fraction now I have my Amarok to mod.

ok so it has been a while as work has been stupidly busy for the last 9 months but finally getting time to get some more fruit for the car.

New custom made adjustable pillow top strut mounts. Benefit of these is that I got these done to bolt directly into the standard golf mounts so no need to bugger around with 5000 measurements to ensure the correct alignment as with the ground control untis.

now to fit this weekend and dial in a good healthy dose of -ve camber
