Ok, I'm behind schedule with updates again, but I think this is life with building a car!

I've mocked up some trim and suspension to get some shots of the car, so rest assured, the fit and finish of the final product will obviously be at another level.

Plus I'm still waiting on loads more carbon trim and engine parts from Germany - customs is being a bitch to me lately and they're never any help over the phone!! Really starting to **** me!...

But anyway... Here are some pics

The interior doesn't really exist yet, other than the dash, wheel, and shifter. I have all the parts, but I'm not going to put any of this in until it's all sealed up with the glass and doors back on, which will happen in the next couple of weeks.

Everything is designed to key in together, though: red GTI grille, red seats and wheel centres, all mixed with the pure white and carbon. I wanted to create some really stand-out lines and colours, rather than the black and white or blue and chrome of the previous cars, which weren't really attention-grabbing.

The next stage is getting the engine detailing finalised and installing all of the remaining trim and decals, which will take quite a while I also need to clean up various parts of the underbody, as there's a fair bit of dust etc that's gathered over time.

Simply jaw dropping. This build has even convinced the GF that I need a MkI as well as the MkVI. Just need to find someone to build it.

Cheers Dom. You're right, though! They look like 15s, which is pretty good I think... Kinda like 15s with less tyre, which is how I hoped they'd look. I think the painted centres make them look smaller...
