Sorry, but can't give away all my sources - they're all the result of 10yrs of digging around

Kinda gave it away by taking a photo on packaging plastered with the company logo.

I can see two of the black screws and probably has a bracket on the rear. I'm pretty sure he said its just a show car so doesn't really need to support a great deal of weight.

          • Some where like:

            693 Whitehorse Road
            Mitcham VIC 3132
            (03) 9874 2260

They can convert a Mk1 escourt tacho into a 12 grand screamer etc.

It's an A-frame mold, so is secured at the back as well

Not the same supplier, as they only do "Turbo" printed versions - just a sample image I have on file

I'll keep showing a few bits and pieces as I get them done

The main thing with the carbon is that all the weave flows the same direction right across the entire car. Even the oil cap is matched to the rocker cover weave so it all flows together. I know, I have a problem - but it's probably appreciated more here than in a therapy group :p

                • awesome stuff!

Just curious as to why you ditched the turbo set up in favour of NA?

Honestly - because it didn't make much of a driver's car. It wheelspan like a trooper in the first four gears and torque steered much the same and was never going to have good throttle response.

If I wanted the car to be a straight-line rocket and not much else, I'd have left it like it was, but it didn't really fit what I wanted with this one. Once it gets a bit bumped and scratched, I intend to use it as a hill climb car with a basic change of spec and NA is far better for this.

It's a very different thing now and the high revs, tight gearing and response suit it a lot more... Plus, it's actually quicker up the strip (except in terminal speed!), as it's a lot more manageable off the line.

I still have the baby blue one, which is turbo'd, but won't get near this again for ages

                            • Couldn't resist the perfection of these wheels - absolutely love them. Just ordered a set, so I'll get tyres fitted up in the next few weeks:

Edit: and how macced is the Corrado they're bolted too
