I thought the 1.6 with carbs might blow the 15k gearbox, so I mated it to a 1.5 diesel instead

I was jokingOriginally posted by Water Boy View Post15k gearbox? What is it a gemini racing (VW motorsport homologated)
It has an SQS gearset in the CDA casing, which was big $$, but certainly not 15k.
Re the engine pics in general: I'd rather not reveal every inch of detail about the car online; it's much more exciting to have things like engine spec revealed for the first time in the flesh. The internet has killed the surprise factor of big builds for the most part, so it'd be nice to keep some stuff closer to the chest for a while

It's definitely not finished yet - still plenty of issues to sort out and things to tidy up, but it's nice to have it 'close' to being done! Keen for tomorrow night... as long as it doesn't rain, as I run wiperless!!! Forecast is for rain all day, but you guys are welcome to come past and see the car in the city, depending on where the pub meet is?
