  • They're a JDM-copy Rota wheel - seem to be getting a good run in the US:

I normally don't like cheap, one-piece rims, but these are just sex and I think they'll look great on my Mk1. Once I post pics of the lip damage to my PLSs after my current Tassie road trip, people will understand the need for some cheaper, runabout wheels :-s Stone chips and more stone chips!!!

Have gone very sensible with 15x7 ET10 and 15x8 ET15, which should also improve ride quality no end. My current 9s with 35 series aren't making too many friends with my spinal cord, even with a decent ride height

    • Save yourself the hassle and spend the extra coin on something else other than ROTA.

Meh, there are always stories behind failures like that and some of them apply to $4k handmade wheels, not just cheap, Asian-built ones! I'm certainly not worried about running these wheels well below their load rating on my lightweight car with street rubber for 1hr, probably once every few weeks!!

Thanks You should update your thread too. Your car is also a tidy piece of work and there aren't too many photos of it around!

                        • Thanks all I was pretty stoked with the video, so big props to Jonty who has an amazing talent. Just for the record, it was all shot with just a DLSR with HD movie capability!

Now to sell it and focus on the other one :-p

Look I don't want to seem desperate, but I will offer you $2,800 and a maximum of $2,500 if you want to keep the garage door remote keyring.

You know, in case you have trouble finding takers!

It is great to actually hear her Stu - the grumpy idle is befitting the cars presence.

                              • Sensational car & video clip! May I ask what the next project will be? Such a nice Mk 1 should go straight to a museum (or my shed!!). Two thumbs up! Would love to have a photo shoot with our Mk 1's together. Without babbling on I think I might have a fat......
