There's still about twice as much to come actually I became a bit obsessed, I think. He kept offering to make more parts, so I couldn't help but say yes!!! It's all shaping up to be safely under 750kg, which has been the target from the beginning.

Carbon tends to be win/win, though: less weight, and it looks awesome too!

In other news, I've spent the last few days working on the doors: have had issues with crazing in the clear coat (my own fault, though!), so have had to remove the whole lot and start again... fun for the whole family, and not exactly photo-worthy either

My engine parts have finally been released by customs after 6 weeks (asssssholes), so I'll finish assembling the engine next week and get some pics of that.

For now, though, here is some more carbon I'm not sure sure I'll use all the parts on this particular car, but some were thrown in as part of a package works price, so I wasn't exactly going to say no.

There's still one more final touch to be done, but I'll leave this until it's bolted to the engine

A 'words-only' update (yeah, the boring kind!). The clock is ticking fast and I'm working at hyperspeed lately. Just lost two days delivering my R32 to its new owner, which is precious time at the moment, but I got a few more hours in this afternoon.

The engine is pretty much sorted after horrendous issues with bonnet clearance. I've been waiting on the manufacture of a dry sump system for months so that I can run the engine lower in the 'bay without sacrificing clearance, but the saga is still ongoing, so I'll run the car wet-sumped for a while and just cross my fingers that I don't a) smash the sump, or b) oil starve the motor, as it was built with a dry sump in mind

I'll get some pics up of various bits tomorrow, assuming all goes to plan (touching wood). On the home straight now either way

Haha, well, you were right :-p

Either way, spent most of the day doing wheel alignments today. I've set up the rear camber and toe to neatly tuck the 16x9s under - which meant removing and reinstalling the rear hubs countless times along with the springs for clearance checks etc. The stance is WAY better now with the excessive poke at the rear gone.

I have a neat pendulum style wheel alignment gauge, which is a big help when doing this and saves a few hundred bucks hiring a laser aligner for the day.

There's now 15mm spacers behind the front wheels aswell, pegging back the ET to a pretty serious +8. This was the only way to clear the brake kit, though... does look better too, having said that.

Front camber is at -3.5deg, around 1mm toe in and rear is at -3deg, around 2mm toe in. I have a full specs written down in my log book, so will post these up with the spec sheet later on.

A few pics in the sun too

So fronts are now 16x8" +8?
I had to space mine, poke isn't as bad though. x7" +4 for me lol.

Looks really high! Have it finished soon, k?

                            Needs carbon fibre flares.

Yep, and no spacers behind the rears; they're straight up ET15 9s. Having said that, the camber kits work as around a 4mm spacer, so this needs factoring in too. Overall, not a very easy task to get the wheels to fit, especially seeing they're really only show wheels - I don't think they count unless you can drive to the show, though

It has the spats in carbon; I don't really like the full flares and they take up too much arch clearance even when trimmed back too
