  • Pretty sure the $45 you pay for the permit covers the insurance...

    • Cant get a permit in NSW without a pinkslip! You can drive for rego purposes and to be safe you should write yourself a statement of intent and then you are sweet.

I have to say if anyone ever rang me from the side of the road and said could I confirm to the police that they were on their way to the shop for work for rego, I would have to say yes

        Ahh,

In TAS its different, Just pay a $45 fee and you can drive all day if you have to. You just have to put where you going and to where.
And you can get the permit for up to 4 weeks

        • Yep Loon is 100% correct. Go your hardest, just don't do anything silly and you'll be fine.

          • can anybody tell me what goes behind the front seat belt inertia reels? i'm sure it's a plastic trim of some description...was after a photo or link to what I should be looking at/for? i've sifted through my boxes of junk and can't find anything that resembles what it should look like...such a minor thing which is very frusterating...please help!

            i'm sure for a fact that it's different to the 4-door set-up!

            thanks.

            • pretty sure its a plastic trim that goes half way up pillar, then it turns to material stuff.

                    • I'll take a photo of it tonight and post it up for you.... I only have two... Which I need, but more than happy to share, part numbers etc...

They have a bit that clips over the bottom bolt and there is a pin that fits in and expands another clip that holds it on a little bit above that bolt... I'll mark out the photo for you...

And, nice looking build too.... You're doing a great job....

                              I know the feeling!

I was at the lights with a friend inthe passenger seat a couple of weeks back, and someone was yelling out and carrying on in a SS commodore ute... saying my car had less power than their skateboards and going on and on.. so once the lights hit green it was on like donkey kong.. i smoked them without even having to try but got another red only a block away.. so once we stopped, they proceeded to yell smack (but getting angrier at our smug grins) but my mate hasn't got quite as much patience as me, so once the yelling became personal insults he grabbed my fire extinguisher and jumped out of the car with it above his head.. started going off at them like a crazy man, like he was about to put it though their windscreen, forcing them to quickly reverse back down the street and nip down a side street out of harms way!! classic!
