Going to give the paint a full buff, polish and wax?
Good to see it all together, it's probably more 'together' than most MK1's going around.
Get my PM?
yeah haven't touched the paint, but i did polish one door and it came up mint so going to give the whole car a once over once finished as you said...but for me personally...if it goes quick, stops fast and turns in well i'm a happy man...the paint cant wait until i have more casshh
yeah i just replied to your pm..il take it, il put the money in tomorrow thanks dude!!
Yeah I'm the same, my car looks like it's on the way to the scrap yard, but sounds fast and i drive it like i stole it and the thing loves it.
I like that you've made a good all rounder.
How are your seat bases coming along? Can't wait to see those thones mounted.

yeah bit of a delay of that, the guy i'm meant to be getting the rails/runners off appears to have gone of the states...it's really the only big thing left to do! trying to get it to sedf
Could you possibly give me a pricing on how much you got your rear mk3 drums for?
Also, because they are bigger etc, does that change the offset on the mk1?

yeah mate, i got them for about $260 from memory, good condition 2nd hand ones which i cleaned and painted up.
from what i know, i don't think it changes the offset, but it does change the bias between the front and back (obviously), so bigger front brakes or a brake bias valve is the best option to stop them from locking up the rear...
since my thread came up again, i should update it! been away on holidays a couple of places as of late so haven't done too much
the car is 90% done, just waiting on the seat rails i require, but the bloke is on holidays so il have to wait and i'm organsising pick up for the rear seat from melbourne soon
obviously a few little things to tidy up but it's almost there
finally sorted my back seat which is now 90% in the car...bought the actual seat for $10 of melbourne gumtree and then about $60 to get it here so ended up working out well...had to make some adjustments to the base as it was a 4-door seat and mine in a 2-door base which are different, but happy with the way it turned out! (if anybody as the surclips or any of the mounting hardware required for the rear seat i need it asap!, thanks)
so this was a bit of a pain/setback, the new mounts i put in were to soft, i had to take them all out again and i changed the drivers side to a diesel mount with the german quality rubber (not the sh*t aftermarket stuff i wasted my time with) and a neuspeed poly insert mount...the front mount was also changed to a super pro poly mount and the passengers side a good quality rubber mount...so hopefully no more engine rock! and no more carby stack flying off!!! lol
5mm ecs tunning spacers with lengthed wheel bolts and new tyres, keeping it all safe and secure lol
so the plan now?.........my first race on the 21st april at wakefield & rego'd by the end of march!
