Nice build bud, looking forward to seeing your car evolve, it already looks pretty good especially considering your years and experience, but your on the right track, in having a sweet ride to call your own.
I can sympathise with why you repaired the damage after the car park accident, I did the same thing to my first car, and I still have it (all tucked away under a cover now though).
To me its not really the time i have or what demands i have. i grew up in south africa, and every second car there is a golf. so i have a huge passion for it as all my older friends had nice zippy golfs that did 12's (AND THAT WAS NORMALLY ASPIRATED!)
There was a guy there who owned a performace shop called FEROLLI Performance and what he did was a 2.0L in the back and a 16V 1.8 in the front. both of them turbos and it was a crazy project. just seeing all those guys and what they did made me have a great passion for it.
by the way i was ment to go see a dude in Thomastown today to look at an engine but unfortunately my dad is working till late so it will have to wait
looks great mate! If your after some BBS wheels, i have a mate with an e30 selling his rims. They are 14x6.5" ones, ET30. Look great on a mk1, i have them on my LS. His arent in perfect condition but they would be cheap
also, i think you should not listen to any of us on here and keep modding the way you are. we all like to dream about our own cars and make suggestions ofcourse, but i reckon you'll do a top notch job on this little mk1 without any input from here

thanks guys much apprecated! well as to the budget i have, ill try to make it just like i want.
I spent all of this morning to cleaning and polishing up my mirrors and change them.
After all the change, i think it looks a lot better with the original black mirrors.
AHAHHAHA!
i didnt even notice the screws to be honest, it was just the monent i suppose. the mirrors were really dirty and cleaned them for an hour haha. but i doubt they need a spray, they are in good condition.
All it needs now is jsut the door rubbers in and a back bumper and some other little touches. Wash it all and clean it down and im ready for DUBFEST.
