When are you bringing this donor car around? I need a headlight.
Put some thick protective clear on those headlights mate. It'll stop em getting busted. You can buy it from Auto1 etc, just ask for stoneguard clear film.
Cut a square out, put it on with a hair dryer (Starting from the centre, stretching the wrinkles out). Trim off the excess. Done.

I have been concerned about safety lately. So I shut my eyes and pressed submit
Designed to increase the braking power on mk1 golfs using standard calipers. The kit includes fast road pads, caliper extension brackets , mounting bolts and either 270 or 285mm cross drilled black diamond discs.Once you have had one of these kits you will wonder how you ever did without it.These kits have been fitted on many of our own Mk1's with 1.8t and 16v engine conversions. The 270mm kit is designed for those of you running 14" wheels, and the 285mm kit fitting behind 15" wheels giving the best increase in braking. These kits are designed and made by TSR so you can be assured they are of high quality.

Been quiet around these parts. Have had a few things cooking but nothing worth writing home about.
Completed;
Upgraded headlight bulbs from 45/40W to 100/90W - Oh what a difference!
The door cards have been refurbed with new JOM chrome handles and all the good bits.
Decided to sell the winter wheels
Bought some ATS Cups that are currently getting some attention at Neales Wheels
Found that the rear end clunk was the bolt holding the strut in on the passenger rear - oops
New plastic bumpers arrived from the UK and look tits
Fitted the open single headlight grille and it makes a world of difference to the cooling effect
Picked up a 24mm front sway bar
Installed remote rear view mirrors driver and passenger sides
So that still leaves a list - with a few different items added;
Custom intake pipe and breather diversion to catch can - Alex will sort it
Front tow hitch (76 models dont have one) - Preeny said he will make me one
Further guard flaring/rolling so I can get some tuck - Alex will sort it
New and stiffer gearbox mount - been slack and not done it yet
Paint some components under the hood (cam cover, strut brace) to tidy it up a little
Possibly remove and replace the tints
285mm brake kit upgrade - waiting on them to ship from the UK
Source the front sway bar mounting hardware - from whiteline when I get time
Order new golfball gear knob
I am looking into some semi's for the 7" wheels for the track/everyday use, but, I think that this might not be the wisest thing to do. Still weighing it up.
Was doing some more TV work a week or so ago too...
