how tight is the accesory belt meant to be exactly?
I generally tighten to abt a fingertip of slack.
If the belt was loose it would still charge a little + it would scream as it slipped right?

yea, you would think. I might. seems tight enough though. no screaming, and currently the alternator is actually charging [to 13.6-7V], so the alt is working, and the belt too. I think I may have an open circuit or some drain on the system somewhere.

p.s. Simon, don't forget to come to the pub meet, next monday night 7:30, same place as last time.

Go for a drive an see if the belt gets hot. But if it was slipping to the point that the alternator wasn't charging, you'd know about it i reckon.

                          • Iridium NGK Plugs

Just got a set sent over from the UK, cheap as, about $20 the set of four.

Just put them in my cab, seem to make a difference, although the old ones were std and shot.

Must say what a rip off ,they are like $22 each here..OUCH.

New set of High quality HT leads.

                            New dizzy cap.

                            New rotor arm.

Goes much better now, happy as!

going really well, especially after the service, I sourced the plusg and all parts from the UK,my rellos sent them. the plugs were real cheap compared to the UK also I find those Iridium seem to work much better when the engine is hot.

I think they make a great difference.,

Need any help mate give me a shout.
