On the to-do list: more bird **** removal, attend to rust spot on the bonnet (not too sure how to go about this), put dash mat on, clean interior, check oil...

Is it like the one I fixed on the previous page?

I found it easier than I first thought.

Not as big as your rust (fortunately) nor as deep. But I've got no experience with body work. Just stopping it from from get any worse would be a start.

Here's how it looked a 3 or 4 months ago (not much has changed). It was caused by leaves being stuck to the bonnet for too long.

        Cheers, Stephen

Thanks. What about fixing it in the long term? You can't really see from the pic, but the rust is actually raised up from the rest of the surface.

only proper way to treat rust is too get rid of it full stop

Cut out the affected section, weld in new metal, and repsray.

Yesterday I fiddled around in the interior, cleaning up a few things, checking fuses, ripping out old wiring.

today i got my exhaust fixed! (finally) Sounds of so much better, and the powah! is back.

                              Hi all
Today I fitted the the quarter vent windows into the doors for Rachels autocross swallowtail. Started off by making a clamp to hold the top hinge firm and in the right spot while the glue goes off. Worked perfectly.
Got the bottom hinges attached and then the locks. So far so good. Hopefully when I go out to the garage next they will be still ok.

I reckon this arrangement of glueing the hardware to the glass has got to be the worst part of the design in the car.

I'm using what I've been told by autoglass people is the best stuff you can get for the job and it has taken me a few attempts to get some of the bits to hang in there on the rally car.

                              Cheers

                              Geoff

If your still like your vent window's, try & find a set out of a cabbie. There bolt thru! Heap's better.

Or You could alway's go to fixed glass.

I've got a set here still for sale
