Swap one of them for a golf MK 1 unit, changing both makes it too hard to close...

The scirocco ones run at a lower pressure than the golf pieces.
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,

      Excellent progress mate!

Just go to ASV for a blueslip, I had bald tires, no rear seatbelts, no visors, missing trim and an untsable misfiring idle which backfired and they just passed my VR6. Just be sure to pay up-front for it though

I used to think that there were about 20......but............
am starting to think , mine may be the Only One.
          - Thanks for compliment.
My Brother sees it for first time [ rebuilt ] tomorrow, I'm afraid he may Plead for it back.
[ emoticon for scared...I Love my Brother but not enough to give back the Rocco ].

having said that, you'd kick yourself if it came down and bopped you on the head one day.
" You'd kick yourself " ... doubt I'd be able to kick myself - would probably be in hospital.
            - rear wiper , Rubber spoiler add to the weight of this Hatch - I get a work-out each time I hold it open.

Thank you. Thought that the Rocco hatch was heavier & would need harder
              strut.
Since they are lighter gassed - the rebuilt ones might be fine .

Thanks. You Cracked me up..... What or where is ASV , perhaps you better not post that on open forum - they may get shut down.

You eased my concerns about Blueys , maybe mine will pass

Thanks to my Daughter [ son reckons he's too sick to help ]
the Brakes are working , they still need a little more work - but at least they work.

-I will be getting struts for hatch - but that may take some time - want to get
                  it registered [ like yesterday ! ].

-demister , still trying to work out whats wrong.

-rear washer , not pumping [ wiper working ].

Thats about it, then cruise around " hopefully visit some enthusiasts ".
psst they may take better photos....

oh - it still needs a good buffing & waxing.

The place is going down the toilet because of how badly they do business anyway, so why not make the most of it while it lasts ?

Thanks for that, I asked around some of my mates - they told me of a place
that is " very fair " and is very close to where I live. So will try them.

Been a long time.......... I am still working to get this Registered. Ran out of Cash, but
now my Tax return is in, Hoping this Friday to get Blue slip.
I drove to Public weighbridge at Landsdowne.
                            Weighed in at 780 Kg
Of course I was hoping for lighter. Ha Ha.
Is certainly nice to drive. I just Love the sound of those Dells Purring. . !!
                            - I stuffed up with the Buffing , so more work is required on the paint.
                            Oh well, practice makes perfect.
                            -
Cant believe that this car weighs in less than the little Mazda 2 [ bubble car thing ].
