The rear of the car is still high as the gap is still quite large. That result is including the replacement of the thick rubber disk from the spring with a thinner rubber material by Trutrack Suspension in North Melbourne.
Ahh ok.. Have you measured the distance to see if there is any drop since lowering it? The rear almost looks stock in height from the pic...

You also shouldnt have needed to replace the rubber!

      Hence.. the rake...

Shouldn't have and did are completely different things... the VWRacing springs are a minimal drop (15 and 20mm max) and unlike the H&R's are linear so may have a different stance initially.
They will settle a bit lower as more KM go on them... remember that the standard springs have had the benefit of being in the car for up to 16 plus weeks and being on a bouncy ship (albeit with transport blocks in place) so they will have mostly settled by the time the car is delivered.

If Rebecca is happy with the stance and overall presentation it is irrelevant if they should be lower at the rear or not...
The VW Racing springs and the Eibach's that I have are less about how low the car is and more about ride quality and handling.

They are actually a drop of 20 - 25mm, which is pretty much the same as the H&R. The cars are already 10mm lower being the R/2.0 version.

Of course they will settle a bit, as do all springs. These however look standard height still and they shouldnt which is why I was asking whether they have been measured since putting them in the car.

Im just raising a concern that they look to be incorrectly installed. If she_dub is happy or not is not the issue here.

eccentric has just put VWR springs in his car and the rear looks how it should after lowering (roughly 20mm lower)

You dont know the springs rates or the manufacturing process for any of the lowering kits out there on offer so your point of ride quality vs lowering is irrelevant. For all we know the Eibach's you are putting in may have a higher tension ratio to the shorter specc'd VWR, H&R.

Also - just a query, did you purchase the DSG springs (SKU: EIBE10-85-021-05-22) or the manual gearbox (SKU: EIBE10-85-021-01-22) springs for your car?

All of those figures are arbitrary and subject to the manufacturing variances all manufacturers have... VW actually have a tolerance of 20 mm on suspension measurement... even on the "R".
Apart from that... the H&R's are 35mm but you say that is 25mm because the R is 10mm lower to start... but then say VWR are 20 to 25mm based on that info from their website... which when you read it find the springs are suitable for GT and R... the GT is not as low to start with as the R, just as the GTI is not as low as the Golf R..... so..based on a large amount of background work over an extended period I stand by the 15 to 20 mm max..

I disagree on them looking standard height... but my view and yours are not relevant especially when you look at pictures of Rebecca's car prior to the springs being fitted....and I think the answer to measurements at present are not yet.

How on earth can you make that statement based on a couple of photos?

            What???

So you can make a roughly measurement assesment based on a couple of photos... from different angles... with different wheels and different tyres and NO measurements..plus it is 5mm shorter than oyu suggest earlier...
Compare the close up shots in the other thread of eccentric's front and rear shots and Rebecca's... very little visual difference...

And you know this to be fact do you???? The reality is that while I have no idea on the spring rates and dont need to know.. there is sufficient factual information out there (if you bother to look for it) supporting my points... add to that the long discussions I had with Eibach Australia and several other Suspension importers and specialists before and after ordering my springs, plus seeing the e-mail comparison and relevant information direct from Eibach Germany... my point of view is hardly irrelevant.

See comments above... and do some research...

My springs are correct for my vehicle specification... ie.. DSG Scirocco R, I have seen all the relevant (factual) information direct from the manufacturer... when I eventually get back to Sydney and can pick up my car I will post pictures and measuremnts as my springs are now fitted..

In regards to the Eibach part numbers, just wanted to make sure you were aware of the 2 different numbers based on DSG vs Manual.

Ill just agree to disagree with you over she_dubs rear spring installation.

Im also pretty sure (having met she_dub) that shes quite capable of handling her own affairs when it comes to sticking up for herself on an internet forum.. lol

My springs were installed by a well known, and highly recommended suspension specialist. I highly doubt they would install anything incorrectly. Having also spent 5 hours there, I can also confirm that they contacted Ian @ Rennenhaus to confirm that the springs, indeed were for the correct vehicle, as it was sitting high at the back.
Yes, I agree it is still sitting a little high at the back, and I'm not sure why there appears to be such a difference between the photos of eccentric's rocco and mine, considering we have the same springs.

We should all catch up over a weekend or something and check the differences between the 3 cars.

I wrapped mine gloss black to the roofline as well... kinda regretted it (not doing spoiler too) Let me know how it goes, as I might end up taking it to your place to get the spoiler done as well.
Scirocco R. Rising blue. Black tallies. Thumbs up.

Should look great with the whole spoiler wrapped in gloss black - I am planning to do the same as soon as I get the car next week - has planned it for more than 3 months since ordered her

The spoiler will have to be detached to wrap it fully.

Not sure what sort of quote you are getting for the whole roofline and spoiler. I only need half of the roof done since the other half is sunroof, I am living in Sydney, and have received a quote of $470 - not sure if it is reasonable though.
