So.. finally having my windows tinted next week with Car Tint.

Rob inspected the car today as he's never done a Scirocco before, said he'd give it a go without removing the door trim... hopefully the film will hold... if it doesn't.. off to a body shop to remove the trim
Shouldnt need to remove the door trim. Mine wasnt and its perfecto!

I have good tint but am now getting the Super Vision done to the rear 1/4's and rear hatch. It is an outside application so if its to hard to see I will remove it.

Why don't you get anti glare and anti heat shield applied to the rears? It is about a 5% tint but blocks out the heat. That's what I got applied to the rears of mine and it's applied on the inside so there's no worry of it peeling off or scratching it when washing the car.

Are you enquiring about window tinting? or vinyl wrapping? As they are two different things.

Still admiring those wheels - brake dust and all. Still the bast combo i've seen on any forum.

BTW the tint is cool too.

                          Lol. Tint looks great!

I'm obsessed to the point that I keep a rag in the boot to wipe off my rims and exhaust tips each time I drive the car. I figure that'll wear off in about a week though!

Rob from Hunters Hill tinted my 'ROc windows back at the beginning of April - did a good job, was quick, and a fair price. Am happy

Sorry to ask something that has probably been asked more than once, but She-Dub, what colour are the wheels that you have painted, and where did you get them done? Are the gloss or semi-gloss/satin? Was it expensive?

I dont think the rake is that much although there is quite a gap in the rear arch. It looks like the rear is raised up on the grass/mound.

Thanks Mac! You need to get your windows done by Rob when you get your grey rocket

The total price was $1100, which includes the wheel repair for some curb rash. Wheel Solutions, in Melbourne painted them.
They're a gloss, but the brake dust makes them look semi gloss, and then matte.
I'm not sure about the exact colour, as I was looking at a few options. I basically just said I want gunmetal, and Matt from Wheel Solutions, suggested a few options, and provided pics so I could see what it looked like on other cars.

The rear is actually not raised up, if anything there's a dip at the edge, as on the other side of the fence is a retaining wall and walking path.
The rear of the car is still high as the gap is still quite large. That result is including the replacement of the thick rubber disk from the spring with a thinner rubber material by Trutrack Suspension in North Melbourne.
