So.. finally having my windows tinted next week with Car Tint.
Rob inspected the car today as he's never done a Scirocco before, said he'd give it a go without removing the door trim... hopefully the film will hold... if it doesn't.. off to a body shop to remove the trim

Why don't you get anti glare and anti heat shield applied to the rears? It is about a 5% tint but blocks out the heat. That's what I got applied to the rears of mine and it's applied on the inside so there's no worry of it peeling off or scratching it when washing the car.Scirocco R - Candy White, Sat Nav,tinted windows, H&R Springs, 19x9 ETA BETA Tettsut X Black rims.

Are you enquiring about window tinting? or vinyl wrapping? As they are two different things.Originally posted by Roc R View PostHey can anyone recommend a good place in melbourne that does great work on the roof wrapped too ? Would like to get mine done ! I'm obsessed to the point that I keep a rag in the boot to wipe off my rims and exhaust tips each time I drive the car. I figure that'll wear off in about a week though!Scirocco R - Candy White / DSG / Panoramic Roof / RNS510

Rob from Hunters Hill tinted my 'ROc windows back at the beginning of April - did a good job, was quick, and a fair price. Am happy
Sorry to ask something that has probably been asked more than once, but She-Dub, what colour are the wheels that you have painted, and where did you get them done? Are the gloss or semi-gloss/satin? Was it expensive?- Delivered 30 March, 2012 - CW Scirocco R DSG Panoramic Roof, RNS 510 SatNav, Dynaudio

I dont think the rake is that much although there is quite a gap in the rear arch. It looks like the rear is raised up on the grass/mound.Originally posted by Andych View PostI love rake front to rear and the tint looks the goods Scirocco R - Candy White, Sat Nav,tinted windows, H&R Springs, 19x9 ETA BETA Tettsut X Black rims.

The total price was $1100, which includes the wheel repair for some curb rash. Wheel Solutions, in Melbourne painted them.Originally posted by longman View PostSorry to ask something that has probably been asked more than once, but She-Dub, what colour are the wheels that you have painted, and where did you get them done? They're a gloss, but the brake dust makes them look semi gloss, and then matte.
I'm not sure about the exact colour, as I was looking at a few options. I basically just said I want gunmetal, and Matt from Wheel Solutions, suggested a few options, and provided pics so I could see what it looked like on other cars.
The rear is actually not raised up, if anything there's a dip at the edge, as on the other side of the fence is a retaining wall and walking path.Originally posted by Bain View PostI dont think the rake is that much although there is quite a gap in the rear arch. The rear of the car is still high as the gap is still quite large. That result is including the replacement of the thick rubber disk from the spring with a thinner rubber material by Trutrack Suspension in North Melbourne.MY12 Scirocco R - slightly not stock
