My pleasure mate. The first one is WITH the tint in the garage, though looks a little lighter than the rear glass. They do look fairly good match most of the time imo - the best match that the boys can do over there. They used 35%, I just phoned them up to double check, they told me there is a threshold for the legal %, they managed to bring it down as close to 35% to be legal, and confirmed shouldn't have any legality issue. Finger crossed

Sounds great John, the Formula 1 may be metallic tint, not sure if it is lighter than Bolle, there were some discussions in below post for your ref, I would be interested to see how it turn up on the Roc. I got the Bolle one done for $185. Should have asked about the Formula 1 the other day, but definitely not Octane, as it will show up in a completely different color.

metalic film shouldnt be an issue as its only the front windows.
I suppose once they look at the rear tint they can say for sure if formula 1 or bolle is the way to go.
apparently bolle is a bluish tint and formula 1 a greenish tint.
Either way, will let you know which way i went and some pics

safe in what way?
personally i wouldnt do it, as the rocco's front window already has a slight tint to it, around 10% if i am not mistaken, so your 20% will make it very dark.
Your call at the end of the day

And from my experience alanzidane, you shouldn't need to make it 20% to make it closely matched the rear windows, or is there anyone suggest you to do that? I even asked to get a tine on windscreen done in another garage, which they can do it for me but do not hold any responsibility for legality issue. At the end of day, it would still be you paying for the fine if got caught

my opinion with tint is generally chose the tint you want and then go one step darker. most people I know (and it's happened to me too) choosing a tint end up liking it but most often slightly regret not going a bit darker. and the only people I know who've ever regretted going dark was one mate who had 2 layers done and they were something like 10% each. it was like looking into a brick wall (painted black)...
I think 20% is probably fine if you want it nice and dark. but just make check what level is on there now so it doesn't end up too dark and also be aware it's illegal so if you drive though areas with a big police presence a lot or like to hang at maccas etc late on friday nights you might get pulled for it. in normal driving behaviour though you will most likely be fine. but just be aware there is a small risk which varies a lot depending on when and where you drive...
