How about tinting the whole Scirocco for all glasses? Prefer having them done as dark as possible - close to the privacy glasses at rear side. Getting a quote of $320 - will that worth it? Any comments will be highly appreciated! As I want to get both the wrapping and tinting done the same time. Cheerio.

Well, I had my roof wrapped with carbon demon in Sydney, which was less than $300... go talk to Mike there.Originally posted by Rocco_R View PostHow about tinting the whole Scirocco for all glasses? yep, mine was done today and the spoiler did get removed to be wrapped properly.Originally posted by Rocco_R View PostShould look great with the whole spoiler wrapped in gloss black - I am planning to do the same as soon as I get the car next week - has planned it for more than 3 months since ordered her
The spoiler will have to be detached to wrap it fully.
Not sure what sort of quote you are getting for the whole roofline and spoiler. I only need half of the roof done since the other half is sunroof, I am living in Sydney, and have received a quote of $470 - not sure if it is reasonable though.
Price was the same as you were quoted mate so thats about right.
Do the complete spoiler, it looks hot...will post some pics of mine tomorrow as i only just got home now and cant be bothered to be honest

Yep
yesterday noon, going to upload some pictures once done with some cosmetics
it is in a garage for wheels powder coating. It is the same white as yours
Ah are you going to do the window tinting soon to closely match the rear privacy side window which would look very cool too.

yes, will be taking it to a few places on Monday after work to see if i can find a close match to the rear tint. I want it to be as close as possible.
Thanks Alister, yea, they did a great job, suppose when you walk in and see ferarri's lambo's m3's left there, you know they must do some good work. I still have to take it back for them to polish it. They say should come up ans shiny as glass when done.Originally posted by Alister View PostLooks great John - quality looks first rate!
They use a product called protech eclat max

Thanks John. Hey, I booked in for "tint a car" to do my window tinting next Wed, they told me they did a same car few weeks ago and looks great (though on a rising blue Scirocco), and knows exactly how dark the tint should be to match closely the rear privacy glasses but still road legal, will look a bit dark from inside though. I will post some pics for your reference if you haven't done yours by then. They told me will be using a product called Bolle.
Good idea of polishing it, I will check whether it is available at NSW.

Hey John, here are some pics hope you found it useful - 'tint a car' applied the Bolle tint which is mostly commonly used for VW, just got it done this morning and need to leave the tint dry for a couple of days.Originally posted by JohnA View PostPics would be good, thanks for that. I may have to go see the local tint a car place here also and see what they think.

thanks heaps for that.Originally posted by Rocco_R View PostHey John, here are some pics hope you found it useful - 'tint a car' applied the Bolle tint which is mostly commonly used for VW, just got it done this morning and need to leave the tint dry for a couple of days.
In that first photo was that with or without the tint.
The rest of the photos show it as a fairly good match.
Would you know what % tint they used as the front glass already has a slight tint to it, so a 35% tint would make it illegal.
