Remember guys, the Scirocco R is supposed to replace the 3 door Golf R so there's no way in standard form it will cost more than a 5 door golf R.
My mates dad was saying there is an options list a mile long for the Scirocco so they definately aren't importing fully optioned models only.
As for comparing it to a 5 door Golf R... you are correct that on "List Price" it will not be more expensive, however you will not see any discounting at the very least on the first batch of vehicles coming in... pretty much the same as what you see on Limited Editions at first...
If they are coming in "fully loaded" which is the info I have from 3 of the 4 dealers I have talked to (the 4th said he had no idea of the spec and wouldn't speculate) and work it out from the Golf R pricing spreadsheet then the Scuderia Import cars are about the right price.... Look on Carsales at how many 5 door R's there are at close to $70K or above and you might be surprised.Candy White Scirocco R DSG with Panoramic Sunroof and RNS510 Sat Nav, tint

Will Scuderia be able to import anymore new Sciroccos now that VWA is importing them officially?
I was of the opionion that SEVS could not be used in that case.
As for the point about the first shipments of Sciroccos of all being "fully" loaded with options. Has this ever been the case when VW have released a new model in the line up?

There is no long list of options available... in fact it is shorter than for the Golf R as Park Assist and Reversing Camera as far as I can tell is not offered anywhere.
In fact the only options in New Zealand that differe from what we can get here on a Golf R are KESSY and Tire Pressure monitoring... other than that they are the same... see the pdf located at the link below.

Haha this is one of those threads that make people laugh... Either way all I know is that people have had these for quite some time.
Some people need to jump off the band wagen of people thinking that the world hates them and learn to answer some questions.I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
