Havnt heard from him in awhile but the the beta unit I sent back to audiosources never made it and has been lost for months. So lost 60 bucks shipping but sandy shipped me another unit that's a production model anyways. Trying to send this unit back again but same thing happens. Attempts to be delivered but doesn't.

Hrm weird, dunno.
New MCU to try out.
Not sure what the changes are, haven't seen much so far.
Procedure as per Audiosources instructions: Turn on the radio stay 20 seconds, insert TF card(format need is FAT ) to gps slot. It show “are you ensure update MCU” click “ yes” until black screen---then turn off the radio---take out the TF card from gps slot—turn on the radios. Now, update finishedMY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

Seems a tad faster just in general operation. Still SD lag but not sure, its always hard trying to judge when doing a simulated trip, will give it a go tomorrow.MY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

Tried the Nav and playing a CD on the way home from work today.
It's causes lag also.
Letting the CD play in the back ground it took between 10 to 30 seconds for the next song to play.
Volume changes take 5 to 10 seconds.
I might go for a drive and test the nav with it AUX running in the back ground with nothing actually running.MKV Sportsline Soot Belcher

Hey guys sorry about the lack of attention on the forums, it's getting more and more difficult to find time with work and imminent wedding coming up at the end of next month and things still aren't sorted. I don't know if I should laugh or cry about the fact that I ended up announcing both my engagement last June and my wedding in this group buy...
I just received the new CAN-Bus unit today, after going round in circles a few times with AS. It turned out it wasn't fully ready as they initially told me it was. Having said that the only issue so far is that once in a while the unit gets stuck booting and needs a reboot. Otherwise, boot speed is now much faster and MFD shows song title rather than time elapsed. Nevertheless on my older Golf 5 red MFD I am still just seeing one line of info. I need to check if the CAN-Bus has a newer update or if the 3 line display plus radio browsing through MFD is for the newer MFD only.
The silent boot function (when you unlock the car) has not been implemented but judging by the boot speed of the unit with the new CAN-Bus decoder I don't think it is even necessary.
I'll need to use the unit a little longer to confirm that there are no other issues, and also test both Sygic 13 and Sygic Drive on the new unit to figure out which one to choose for the system. We've been having some issues with skewed map rendering on Sygic 13 so at this stage it looks like it would be Sygic Drive.
I did delve deeper into the iGo issue. I got a task manager running and it appears the navigation takes up 100% of the CPU load when the 3D map is moving. If you are using simulated nav, you will find that when you change songs nothing will happen but the second you pause the simulated navigation and the map stops moving, the song will change. I'm certain it's not an inherent iGo fault considering how popular iGo is, but unfortunately it just seems that iGo and DNS's CPU simply do not like each other.
Bear with me for another week or two, believe me I want this whole thing to be wrapped up before my wedding.Last edited by DkN; 04-08-2014, 07:56 PM.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake

All good SandyOnce it's all done and sorted, you'll look back at it and laugh. Understandable though, i'm fairly sure my girlfriend is going bombard me and to drive me crazy with the wedding stuff in the future haha.
New CANBUS decoder sounds good, any word on the chips for us? Let us know if you need/want to test it in a newer golf (mine has the white MFD), more than happy to help.
Any chance of getting a copy of Sygic 13 or Sygic Drive to test in my unit? I've got an older copy of Sygic that came with another one of my units (I think its Drive 5.00.30, from memory), but it doesn't take any newer maps than 2012.09. A shame iGo doesn't work all that well, but the GUI in Sygic is pretty good, TTS is pretty good (from memory) and the maps are regularly updated (they use NavTeq, I think)? So yea, fine by me.MY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

I still haven't been able to get my GPS working. Keeps saying "Out of memory" when it boots up. Anyone else have the same issue?

Either way, iGo is pretty much a bust on the DNS, and once Sandy has access to licensed copies, Sygic should solve our problemsMY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

The problem is we are expected to pay extra for a module to get what is a headline feature of an $800 unit working. Not cool.
However I'm still very interested in the module for other reasons. I really wish the Bluetooth audio can be fixed though. Its really starting to annoy me.
Sandy - do you know if the 2 way mirror module will pass audio as well as the image?
