    • Proof the LOUD don't work like it use to.

          Mine is:

          BSP: MS9.G.F0418
          MCU: DNS810.140213_KEYTEST
          MPU: DNS810.17Apr13.32.V0.9

MCU is different because I flashed to the MCU included in the Feb firmware.

The febryary MCU is the one that is not compatible with the DNS610, right?

            • Hmm really not impressed with the 'production' units having similar issues to the 'preproduction' units.

Sandy what will happen to us internationals who are having to pay for our units to be returned ? What happens when/if we get one of these faulty 'production' units? My unit has been nothing but issues on the March firmware, hoping the April firmware improves this. I know the unit needs swapping however with the production units having issues still it concerns me.

My unit now even freezes / white screens now with heat even. GPS and SD playback is next to not working as it studders and freezes. Unit definitely shows signs of a 100 dollar unit over a 800 dollar unit.

In all fairness mine is the only 'production' unit that has failed so far and Sandy already has a replacement in the post for me. Having said that I understand your concern as you are expected to pay for shipping where we dont. Im sure Sandy will do everything he can to make sure you are looked after.

                • After updating my 610 to the new firmware it is pretty much a cd player/radio.
I thought the conflicts between SD/GPS were bad!
Put some music on a USB last night and **** me, what a piece of ****.
First off listening to USB and switch the NAV on and as it is loading the music skips like a scratched record.
After one song plays on USB with the NAV running the unit become unusable.

Yep. I don't know if there were that many changes in it, though *shrugs*

                    ^

My production DNS810 has been great, but then again, I listen to music off my iPhone and not using SD/USB, so I'm not getting any CPU issues.

The rest of the unit seems rock solid stable (and in fact, the radio module seems better, better reception. Haven't tried BT yet, though).

USB is the same as SD (same decoder), so of course it's still having the CPU issues, once they fix that both should work fine. But again, cross fingers to that happening in a timely manner.

                    • Well, lets hope it's only the one then....

Did the update and so far it all seems to be a interface update, nothing else really has been fixed, laggy still when GPS & SD playback happens, glitches with SD playback flipping to FM then back, this is just starting to feel like a loss as nothing seems to be improving other than the looks

Similar isssues with SD & GPS. So unstable its crazy, I still say it has a bit to do with ththe windows ce operating system not being a true multi tasking operating system. Bet if this was android based we wouldn't see issues like this, possibly other issues all together haha

So why does Sandy say that using USB shouldn't have the same conflicts as when using SD??
I didn't take note of the firmware that mine had when it arrived.
And with that firmware it wasn't bad.
I am starting to get ****ing pissed off with this whole deal.

Sandy when you read this today will you reply to the email I sent last week regarding a new invoice
and could return the money I had to put up to receive the "new" unit please.

I dare say you would have a bunch of different issues if it was Android based haha.

It is, and he did: http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ml#post1046429

SD/USB uses the same decoder, same issues. When they fix it both should work fine.

I agree, it's way beyond getting long in the tooth, but what else can you do, either ask for a return/refund or wait until they fix the issues. *shrugs*

I have a picture of the firmware the unit came with, and it was actually a little better, at least the gps was usable and the loud option was actually working.

I am trying to get it directly from audiosources.
