Hey Sandy, is there a plan to have radio text from the station displayed. Ie, most radio stations send current song name/artist when it is playing.

On the rns510, this feature is turn on under the extra button.

        Examples;

The last time I asked about this the response was that they are definitely going to implement the feature, but I think it's currently not high on the priority list. I do hope this doesn't end up falling through the cracks as I have requested it several times with Audiosources as well.

So it started this morning playing SD with sound.
then I switched it to radio and it had no sound.
Had to shut down and restart unit to get sound on radio.
            Still happening randomly Sandy.
Today I started the car and the drivers door was ajar.
So the unit was showing the door was open.
I opened and closed the door but it stayed with the door open graphic on the screen
and it wouldn't go away until I pressed the FM button. It wasn't until I did this and realised
that the radio had been muted the whole time.
I had to shut it down by pressing both knobs.

Ok, what went wrong while using it this afternoon!
Pulled up in carpark listening to radio, turned engine off, still listening to radio.
Song comes on I don't like so I switch to SD and listen to a song and then I
remember I have a DVD in the back seat so I throw it in and start watching it.
Misses comes out of the shop and opens the door, I start the car will DVD is playing.
Car starts DVD comes back on (with sound), I press the FM button and it goes to radio with no sound.
Say a few expletives and then select SD so I can listen to something on the way home.
Get home and it's gone into laggy POS mode.
Flipping between songs on the SD was fine but changing to FM and back to SD and adjusting the volume was laggy as f#%k..

The radio muting issue is known and I'm still waiting for a proper fix. I previously thought the last firmware update fixed it but apparently not - the issue is that if the unit is already booted when you start the engine, radio will lose sound but not any other sources.

I have always restarted the unit when this happens and the issue goes away, but what you are reporting suggests if you leave it and switch to and from SD it will cause more issues.

Audiosources does have a new firmware version though I need to confirm if the radio issue has been fixed. The new firmware has some UI bugs from them changing the system resolution from 16bit to 32bit though so I am waiting on the fixed version that will be out in a couple of days.

I'll also find out what's going on with the hardware buttons not working on the latest firmware - I'm sure this hasn't happened to everyone though, may be something going funny with the update procedure.

Can you (xxcynicxx and kwalsh24) just confirm which version of firmware this is - are you referring to the test MCU 140104, or the earlier full release with MCU 20131228?
Weird thing here, is it me or has the hidden menu changed ? Sandy asked me to check a setting in the hidden menu and this is now what my hidden menu looks like...

That looks identical to the hidden menu I have had from the beginning. Weird. You losing it? Lmao.

I am with Kwalsh. There used to be more options. I remember having two different logo settings. Now there is only the one. Also, the boot up screen used to be the VW logo, now it is set to the speedometer image.

Haha! See I was right haha:-P. However m, yes there 2 logo options, 1 option that displayed all the extra settings and then one other I'm not sure of what it was or did. Believe 4 buttons total.
