Would be great to be able to forward though Pandora stations (over Bluetooth through my phone) utilizing the steering wheel controls. I know this is small on the scale of "please fix now," but would be nice all the same. Kind of sucks I have to push the skip button on the screen in the music section of the Bluetooth screen. Looking forward to getting a mirror link module soon. Does anyone know if the units are in production yet?

The unit was playing from the SD last time I drove it.
So it started this morning playing SD with sound.
then I switched it to radio and it had no sound.
Had to shut down and restart unit to get sound on radio.MKV Sportsline Soot Belcher

Can someone tell me how good the Podcast playback from an IPod is? This is the main thing I do in the car and want the ability to fast forward and skip 30 sec forward on a podcast with steering wheel controls.
As mentioned by robk5787 the ability to skip Pandora playing from phone via steering wheel would be great too.2009 Golf VI 103 TDI Comfortline DSG

It doesn't matter anyways, because with iOS6.2 and above you can control playback on the device, which to me is a much better way of controlling playback (especially if you've got a big library like I do, it would take an age to find what I'm after on the unit).
My usual flow for listening to a podcast goes turn on car/headunit -> wait for boot -> plug in iPhone (if you wait for it to boot and plug in the iPhone it goes straight to iPod playback) -> open Podcasts app -> Select podcast to play, and it takes over from the music app and starts playing as normal.
I can have a bit more of a play with it over the weekend if you want any more details.MY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

Only way of doing it is on the iPhone/iPod itself, which is fine by me because it's a much faster way of navigating big libraries. The other part of it is the metadata issue (see the google docs sheet), where if you choose a track on the iPhone/iPod, the metadata is incorrect. It's just a bug and should be fixed in a later update, though.MY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

Sandy, any word of new firmware? Nothing urgent for me but just have some weird quirks that happen very randomly....the steering wheel controls sometimes (once per day) are slow to respond to changing stations and volume...very noticable when GPS is running. Second, I had the reverse camera go on, then the colorful vertical lines show up and no image....then would not switch to camera view until I reset the unit. Very random, but takes away from the "reliability" of the unit and worrying when and if something isn't going to work properly.

New firmware would be nice, no stability issues on my side, but more just minor annoyances (mainly in iPod/SD playback heh).
Passes the extreme heat test, even my prepro unit, as with most places down the eastern coast, it's been 40+ degrees the entire week, hoped in my car on Friday and was being told it was 48 degrees (it's often hotter out on site than in town, and the pit floor is even hotter still!), DNS worked fine.MY10 Golf Mk6 103TDI DSG Candy White | Revo Stage 1 ECU Tune | 18" Talladegas | GTI Front/Rear/Exhaust | R LED Taillights | GTI Steering Wheel | VW Discover Media | Focal IFVW Front Speakers | Mk7 Climatronic Panel |

Hmm I did the current firmware, then the one from November, no change. Lmk If you manage to get it fixed. I also did a fuse pull for a few hours as my unit did this once randomly and that fixed it. Didn't fix it this time tho

Sorry guys have been extremely busy the past week. I will chase up on firmware, there will definitely be an update (I imagine the software guys are pretty busy too and these days I have to ask to get firmware).
I'll also find out what's going on with the hardware buttons not working on the latest firmware - I'm sure this hasn't happened to everyone though, may be something going funny with the update procedure.
Can you (xxcynicxx and kwalsh24) just confirm which version of firmware this is - are you referring to the test MCU 140104, or the earlier full release with MCU 20131228?Last edited by DkN; 20-01-2014, 09:43 PM.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake
