I'm getting "CD/DVD error". Is it because I'm using a Mac to burn on to a DVDr?

Was it a DVD or CD you burnt it to? I didn't use my mac for this disc, but I've never had an issue burning on my macbook with dvdr's at 4x for all the other rns updates

You could also just login to your Google account and upload to Google Drive online. Same deal with Dropbox, you don't have to install the client.

I burnt my copy to CD using a Mac. I used Toast, burning at 4X. Worked fine.

I have uploaded to Google Drive also if anyone needs to grab a copy.

Ok, I figured out the first error. Download was incomplete, hence error. Second download was completed, 700MB. Burn to disc, insert into RNS510, still error code. Do I need to upgrade firmware? It is currently the original from a 2010 Tiguan 147TSI.

The ISO is 678mb Do this Download from my link

Write it to a DVD PLUS R at no more than 4 speed.

Firmware shouldnt make any difference Lots will have older units than yours and the map is the same for all of them

Its only the map and can be even run from the DVD or my unit asked if I wanted to run it that way I have 4020 firmware.

If you have a mac Toast should write it as my son has one and can write stuff that I havent been able to on my PC for some reason

Done as per your instruction twice using Toast. Still not working. Getting a "CD/DVD error" on the screen. Any advise?

Fire up bootcamp and burn a disk properly using proper software.

Or there's something crappy about your choice of disk.

Hmmmm. Used both DVD- and DVD+ (IMATION) and never had problems with Toast b4.

Suspect some sort of setting in toast that's making your burns toast!
